Being able to download free wii games is something that thousands of people want to do. And why wouldn't they? With the rising cost of games, it is becoming more and more important to find ways to keep the costs associated with gaming consoles in check.
So, what do you do?
Well, the first thing you do is make sure that you have the proper system requirements to download wii games.
1. Fast internet connection - If you are on a dial up connection you can all but forget being able to download games for your Wii. The files are very large and will take forever if you do not have some type of cable or broadband internet connection. On dial up, the Wii games will more than likely take a couple of days to download a single file.
2. Ample hard drive space - If you have an old computer and have not upgraded your hard drive to something that is going to give you some more space you might need to do so. Any computer that has been purchased in the last five years or so should have more than ample hard drive space. Anything older than that, take a look at your computer specs and make sure that you have at list a 20GB hard drive.
3. Up to date anti-virus software - Wii Games are not any different than anything else that is downloaded online. Every time you download a file, without exception, you have to scan the file with whatever anti-virus software you have selected. The files can be easily scanned by right clicking on the downloaded file and selecting the option to "run virus scan". Once this is complete you can be confident that the file has not been tampered with.
While being able to download free wii games is something that can be fairly easily done, it is important to make sure that your system meets the minimum requirements and that you are downloading in a legal and safe manner.
